Wfond

Brand Story
The brand name WFOND deeply intertwines artisanal practice with social value. The initial “W” carries a fourfold significance: it stands for Weaving, symbolizing the interlacing of intangible heritage techniques; Warmth, conveying the vital tactile sensation of handmade craft; With, emphasizing equal companionship among diverse groups; and We, reflecting the collective strength of an inclusive community. Combined with “Fond,” which evokes affection and deep connection, the brand builds a creative space for “what we love,” transforming art and design into a warm bridge that connects different bodies, cultures, and souls.
The brand’s Logo uses the infinity symbol as its silhouette, representing perpetual vitality and sustainable development, while ingeniously integrating interlocked hands at its center. This visual symbol vividly illustrates the brand’s vision: linking independent individuals through the touch of hands and showcasing the practice of co-creation between disabled and non-disabled communities grounded in equality and respect. It is not merely a graphic, but a manifesto of perception and understanding, embodying the enduring value of design in social care and cultural reconstruction.
About Us
We are a cultural and creative brand rooted in social value and artistic depth. Through our practices in inclusive co-creation and craftsmanship, we transform traditional Chinese intangible heritage into a bridge that connects different bodies, cultures, and souls.
Our vision is to become a global platform for sustainable cultural co-creation, where individuals of all abilities come together to weave the art of life in an environment of equality, creativity, and mutual respect.
Our team is composed of Master’s and Doctoral researchers from Tsinghua University. Throughout our academic and professional journey, we have consistently asked: How can design better resonate with the human body and everyday life? We embrace inclusive design to redefine the relationship between people and products, striving to make art and design a "bridge" that connects individuals and the wider world.
We are deeply inspired by the spirit of traditional craftsmanship—its deliberate pace, its sensory richness, and its philosophy of harmony between humanity and nature. Through this process, we hope to offer a path to the healing and tranquility found in creation. From China to London, our story is more than a journey; it is a cross-cultural exchange of empathy. We believe that regardless of origin, the act of making by hand allows us to rediscover the potential of the body and the peace within.
On this path of exploration, we are dedicated to sustaining traditional heritage and championing inclusive design. Through our work, we aim to fulfill our social responsibility, bringing gentle yet enduring change to the world within our capacity.
